The Sky Blues look to maintain their improving away form with a decent result against high-flying Preston North End on Tuesday.

Micky Adams men won on the road at QPR on Saturday while Paul Simpson’s side were frustrated by a 0-0 home draw against Crystal Palace.

Vital Quotes:

Sky Blues assistant manager Adrian Heath: ‘We are pleased with our away form and, ironically, had we picked up a few more points from the games that we thought we would win at home we would have been in the top six.

‘But we feel it is going all right for us at the moment. We have got a very difficult game at Preston but with the confidence we have got from the last couple of games I feel we are very well prepared.’

Preston North End Team News:

Tommy Miller could be in line for his Preston North End debut with Matt Hill out injured.

‘He has been great in training, he is settling in with the rest of the players and looks very fit,’ boss Paul Simpson told his club’s website.

Player to watch: Simon Whaley

Although David Nugent is the focus of much that is written about Preston, another player they picked up from Bury is also making an impact.

21-year-old midfielder Whaley has netted six times so far this season and scored the winner at the Ricoh in April.

Coventry City Team News:

Stern John is fit again but may have to settle for a place on the bench after Dele Adebola’s impressive display at the weekend.

Player to watch: Clive Clarke

The on-loan Sunderland man has filled a number of roles already in his brief time at the Ricoh Arena.

‘We made a few changes including Clive Clarke who I thought was outstanding in the middle of the park,’ said Adrian Heath after the QPR game.

‘I saw a lot of him when he was at Stoke and he is a versatile lad who can play in a number of positions, and he has been a godsend to us in the last couple of weeks.’
