Kevin Thornton’s emergence as a member of the Coventry City first team squad this season has not gone unnoticed according to reports on Thursday which suggest that both West Brom and Aston Villa have run the rule over the midfielder.
Thornton has been offered a new deal at the Ricoh Arena and agent Lee Payne has indicated that that will be signed shortly.
Thornton’s older brother Sean meanwhile has been linked with a move to Coventry.
The former Sunderland man is currently at League One side Doncaster Rovers.
