Mark Robins felt his side turned in the ‘professional performance’ he had asked for in Saturday’s FA Cup tie against minnows Arlesey as the Sky Blues overcame some early hiccups to win 3-0.

The manager was particularly pleased with right-back Cyrus Christie’s powerful forward surges which were capped by his first ever City goal.

‘It gave us the attacking impetus,’ Robins told the official CCFC website after seeing his side ease into the second round.

Christie himself told his Twitter followers that he would be making a date with Saturday night’s FA Cup highlights in order to see his goal again!
