Coventry City manager Iain Dowie once again praised his side after their 1-1 draw at Norwich City on Saturday.

A late Canaries equaliser denied the Sky Blues to make it two wins out of two under the new boss but Dowie was delighted nonetheless.

He said: ‘We had a nervous last 10 minutes and we didn’t start too well but in between times I thought we controlled the game against a good Norwich side.

‘I don’t think anyone could claim we weren’t well worth our lead and unfortunately a little misunderstanding between two of our players has let them in to score an equaliser.

‘After that there was a resilience about the team that I liked. They stuck to their task and were determined not to go under.

‘They were a little bit leggy at the end, which is probably my fault because I’ve worked them very hard this week. But they showed great character to hang in there.

‘Overall this had been a very good week. It was a massive win against Southampton in midweek and this was another good result. I’ll certainly settle for four points out of six.

‘I’ve already seen enough to realise that there are some blocks I can build on here although obviously we are still a long way away from where we want to be.’
