Plymouth Argyle come to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and are in confident mood after a good start to the season.

‘If somebody told me I was going to be three points off the play-offs after 16 games, any manger would have taken that,’ manager Paul Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon.

The Championship however is shaping up to be tight from top to bottom this season, something Sturrock knows only too well.

He added: ‘We’re only seven points off relegation as well, that’s how tight the league is.

‘We’re not the finished article.

‘As I’ve said all along we’ve still got flaws in our game.’

  • If I’m honest I think Plymouth will struggle over the new year, and will do well to stay up. They have a squad that lacks depth, and signing Simon Walton and Chris Barker from us (QPR) will do their cause no good whatsoever!
