Coventry City manager Micky Adams hit out at referee Lee Probert after Saturday’s defeat by Derby County.
‘We had a stonewall penalty when Dean Leacock brought down Leon McKenzie in the first half but the referee said he was not in a position to see it,’ said Adams after the 2-1 defeat.
‘But that is Mr Probert – we always seem to have problems with him.’
The result made it three defeats in a row for the Sky Blues but Adams added: ‘I was pleased with the performance and I did not think we deserved to lose.
‘Within the dressing room confidence is not what it should be at the moment but I have been in this position before at this football club.
‘It is a time for people with big characters.’
