90 minutes of frustration at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday for Coventry City supporters was magnified by the other results in League One.

Defeats for Tranmere and Doncaster and a draw for Swindon meant that, had they taken all three points, the Sky Blues could have been within six points of the top of the table and harbouring genuine thoughts of automatic promotion.

Instead, the congested nature of the division means they are now four points off a play-off place having played more games than all of the teams above them.

Mark Robins certainly cut a frustrated figure when speaking after the game, saying: ‘We just need that extra bit of quality now, somebody to put their foot on the ball, somebody to find a pass because things have changed.’

Whether that ‘quality’ can come from within the club or from a loan signing is one of the decisions the manager faces this week while he himself is being linked with the vacant Blackpool manager’s job.
