Sammy Clingan will miss around six weeks of Sky Blues action after limping out of last weekend’s draw with Leicester City but believes Chris Coleman has a ready-made replacement at his disposal in the imposing shape of Isaac Osbourne.

“I have been really impressed with Isaac who came on for me and did well last weekend,” the Northern Ireland international told the Sunday Mercury.

“He puts his foot in and is a strong lad who I am sure will be a help to the team.

‘Hopefully he will go in there now and settle down and help the team do well.’

Leon Best meanwhile is still in with a chance of making next summer’s World Cup.

The striker came on as a second-half sub for the Republic of Ireland on Saturday as they clinched a play-off place with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Italy.
