Mick Harford surely has the best goals ratio per minutes played for Coventry City after finding the back of the net on his only appearance for the club.

The experienced striker, signed from Sunderland in the summer of 1993, came off the bench for the last 16 minutes of the Sky Blues’ second game of the 93/94 season, at home to Newcastle United.

Within ten minutes he had looped a header over Pavel Srnicek in the visitor’s goal to give City a 2-1 victory.

Back problems prevented him from playing for Coventry again, although a move to Wimbledon in August 1994 revived his career.
