Didcot Town goalkeeper Michael Watkins has been offered a week’s trial with Coventry City.

Boss Stuart Peace, who snapped up the player from Hayes in the summer, told the Oxford Mail: ‘He’s been a good signing and he’s a nice lad as well.

‘He’s been invited up for a week’s trial and if he does well we might lose him. He’s not under contract.

‘I hope he is successful and that we can have played a small part in his development.’
