AFC Bournemouth are the visitors to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and will have a caretaker manager in charge after the midweek decision to axe Paul Groves.

Former Cherries boss Harry Redknapp is currently working as an unpaid advisor to his former club but, despite big ambitions on the South Coast, chairman Eddie Mitchell thinks the former Tottenham boss is too big a name to be in the frame.

‘There is no truth that I have offered him the job,’ Mitchell told BBC South. ‘His future is a lot higher, we are a Division One club.

‘It’s not for me to offer Harry a job. He has not given me an indication that he wants the job.’

Striker Lee Barnard meanwhile told his club’s official website ahead of the match: “It`s a big game. Coventry is a big club and should probably be in a higher division.

“They have had a slow start but they have picked up, and it will be a tough game for us. But we are focused and we know what we have to do.”
