Bohemians midfielder Gary Deegan has completed his move to Coventry City, as originally announced ahead of the transfer window, and is in contention for the weekend clash with Barnsley.

22-years-old and a star performer in the Irish Premier Division last season, Deegan adds to Chris Coleman’s options in the centre of the park.

The City boss welcomed the influential Sammy Clingan back to that area for the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth and also saw Aron Gunnarsson excel against Premier League opponents.

With Jack Cork still available, Coleman is slowly achieving the same kind of strength in depth he has at the back and is still on the hunt for a new midfielder it seems, with Carl Baker of Stockport County the name in the frame.
