Coventry City and Leicester City fought out a 1-1 draw at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and both managers were relatively satisfied at the end.
‘You know what derby games are like – all form goes out the window – but it was a good game,’ said Chris Coleman, albeit unhappy at losing a goal while Sammy Clingan was off the field getting treatment.
‘We didn’t get the three points but we were against a tough team and I was happy with the response from the players.’
Opposite number Nigel Pearson saw his triple substitution make an impact and commented: ‘We have a strong bench and we really did feel that we could win the game.
‘It made the game more open because they had chances but it worked.’
