Macca the bookies’ favourite

Gary McAllister is the 7/4 favourite to succeed Micky Adams as Coventry City manager with what would be his second spell as manager of the club.

Iain Dowie is 7/2 with bookies’ bet365 while Walsall boss and former Sky Blues academy chief Richard Money is 9/2.

Bet365 Spokesman Steve Freeth said: ‘There’s no doubting that the Sky Blues are a massive club and Coventry can expect plenty of applicants.

‘Gary McAllister knows all about Coventry City after his previous spell in the Midlands and he’ll be a popular choice with the fans.

‘Rumours are that he’s keen to get back into management and we can vouch for that after seeing plenty of interest in him for the vacant Scotland post.’
