Life in League Two for Coventry City begins this Saturday with a home fixture against a Notts County side who finished last season strongly under Kevin Nolan and who have high hopes of mounting a promotion challenge this time around.

Their county rivals Mansfield are the bookmakers` favourites to win a wide-open division, based on manager Steve Evans` previous experience of winning promotion.

The Stags begin their campaign away to Crewe Alexandra.
Chesterfield, Swindon Town and Port Vale came down with the Sky Blues and the latter two face trips to Carlisle United and Crawley Town respectively while the Spireites host a Grimsby Town side whose first home game is against Coventry on Saturday 12 August.

Coming up to the division from the National League are Lincoln City and Forest Green Rovers.

The Imps made headlines last season with their FA Cup exploits and under the management of the highly-rated Cowley brothers could well challenge for a second successive promotion.

They travel to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday while Barnet are the first visitors to the New Lawn home of Forest Green where the regular stories about solar-powered lawnmowers and vegan food for fans can sometimes mask a club very much on the up.
