Last hurrah for Whing?

Andy Whing may be leaving Coventry City in the summer but injury problems mean he could play against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Adam Virgo is out for the rest of the season with a broken wrist and David McNamee may not be risked after just returning to training.

That could give Whing a start in his favoured right-back position and a chance to impress any clubs interested in signing him at the end of the campaign.

A move to Brighton where he impressed on loan earlier this season looks favourite at the moment and Whing said earlier in the week: ‘I enjoyed being at Brighton and it is definitely possible I will go back.

‘If Championship clubs were interested I would have to think about it seriously but I would have no qualms about dropping down a league.

‘I’ve kept in contact with both Dean Wilkins and Dean White. They have got a lot of young players with great potential and I see Brighton pushing for promotion next season.’
