Coventry City will face an Ipswich Town side shorn of loanee defender Darren O’Dea this weekend but who could be fortified by the signing of a new player.

With Celtic centre-half O’Dea out for six weeks having undergone knee surgery, manager Roy Keane has said there is a ‘good chance’ that a loan signing will be made in time for Saturday’s clash.

The visitors will themselves be without on-loan wide midfielder Danny Ward.

Given plenty of opportunities by Aidy Boothroyd since signing from Bolton Wanderers, the 19-year-old has suffered a hernia and returned to his parent club for treatment.

*****Update*****Jack Colback, the young Sunderland midfielder who impressed on loan at Ipswich last season has rejoined the Blues in time for the game.
