Ahead of Tuesday night’s home game against Coventry City, Crystal Palace manager Peter Taylor played down talk that he was under pressure from Eagles chairman Simon Jordan following a poor start to the season.
Speaking after Saturday’s defeat at Norwich, Taylor said: ‘I do read the papers so I know what’s being said but I have not had a conversation with the chairman.
‘Having said that I suppose a result today would have helped.’
What will help Taylor of course is a win over a Sky Blues side managed by his predecessor Iain Dowie.
