Coventry City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Jodi Jones in the three nil victory over Notts County at the weekend at the Ricoh Arena was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

Explaining the choice – the EFL blurb read.

‘One of two opening day hat-tricks came from Coventry`s teenage starlet Jones, who single-handedly fired his side to a 3-0 victory over Notts County. Casually slotting home a fine first, Jones struck twice in the last 10 minutes to guarantee his team the points and himself the match ball.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Jones for his recognition.
