Coventry City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Jodi Jones in the two nil victory over Exeter City at the weekend at the Ricoh Arena was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Jones was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Coventry became the first team to get the better of Exeter City this campaign, and Jones was the influential figure in a 2-0 win for the Sky Blues. Firstly, he caused Troy Brown to turn into his own net, before teeing up Devon Kelly-Evans ? another outstanding performer ? to notch on his EFL debut.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Jones for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Murphy (Bury), Danny Grainger (Carlisle United), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Oliver Lancashire (Swindon Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United), Junior Morais (Peterborough United).

Manager – Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
