A crucial week for Coventry City begins by the seaside on Tuesday night as they face Bournemouth in League One knowing that a positive result is vital if they are to retain any kind of promotion ambitions.

The Sky Blues opponents have put themselves in the thick of the race for the Championship since the return of Eddie Howe as manager. He knows, however, that Lee Carsley’s side are a different proposition on the road where they have one of the division’s best records.

‘They are a dangerous team and, potentially, as good as anything in the league,’ Howe told the Daily Echo, ‘so we are going to have to be at our best to beat Coventry.

‘Because they have come from so far back like we did, it makes them even more dangerous.’

Loan signing Aaron Martin is available to Carsley after the central defender’s move from Southampton on Monday while the City manager also has the option of Cody McDonald following his recall from a successful spell at Gillingham.
