How they saw it

Chris Coleman is in the market for a new signing after seeing his Coventry City side beaten by Swansea on Saturday.

‘We had one or two under-performing so we hope to have another face in early next week to put a bit of pressure on,’ was his verdict on the 1-0 defeat.

It could all have been different had Sammy Clingan netted an early spot-kick but Coleman maintained: ‘We didn’t lose the game because of the penalty.

‘If we had been on the front foot in this game, we would have got a result.’

Paulo Sousa thus came out on top in the battle of the division’s best-dressed bosses and the Swansea gaffer enjoyed his first win in charge, saying: ‘If we have the desire like that we will get more points.

‘What I want and expect from my team is to be competitive and in the top 10 at the end of the season.’
