Coventry City caretaker manager Adrian Heath was a relieved man after a much-needed win for the Sky Blues over Luton on Tuesday night.

‘Sometimes it doesn’t matter how you win or how you play, you just have to stop that losing cycle,’ he said after Leon McKenzie’s winner.

‘I think we have enough quality to get ourselves enough points, but the longer those defeats kept coming the more you think about it.’

  • AT last a win I had forgot what that felt like, but at the end of the day if we hadn’t beat that lot we would have had something to worry about

  • a win is a win-better shape but would play Thornton from the start=he is quality. Good start by Hawkins

  • Rejoice! Steele – untested. McNamee – Quality. Hawkins – impressive start. Hall – Better than last outing. Whing – Poor 1st half improved later. Tabb – average. Birchall – average. Osbourne – average. Dele – better. Miffy – Looking busy and fit. Thornton – turned the game. McKenzie – average hopfully strike will give him confidence. Kyle – still littl outpu but pleasingly industrious for a change. AND FINALLY HUGHES! – It pains me to say it – but the best game he has had in a VERY long time. Still not where he needs to be but a definite improvement!
