He played just once – Clive Baker

Signed by Coventry City in the summer of 1991 from Barnsley, experienced goalkeeper Clive Baker was yet another player who was forced to play second fiddle to Steve Ogrizovic at Highfield Road.

Oggy’s reliability had already seen off Jake Findlay and Keith Waugh and Baker was restricted to just one appearance, in a League Cup tie at Rochdale in October 1991.

City had already won the first-leg 4-0 which was just as well as they went down by a single goal at Spotland.

Ironically though the Sky Blues did need to call on loan cover later on in the season when both Oggy and Baker were injured.

First Paul Heald and then, controversially, Les Sealey made two appearances each.

Baker joined Ipswich the following summer and Jonathan Gould was given the task of dislodging Oggy from between the posts.
