Coventry City boss Chris Coleman was understandably miffed at missing out on three points after Tuesday night’s game at Sheffield United.

‘For 45 minutes we were outstanding and we deserved to be 1-0 up,’ he said.

‘Then we got the penalty and missed it and for five minutes we were feeling sorry for ourselves.’

‘I’m disappointed not to have won. We’ve got to learn to do enough to win games, we’re a young side and we lack experience.’

Opposite number Kevin Blackwell was blunt in his assessment of his side’s first-half display.

‘We were garbage,’ he admitted.

‘The players can’t get anxious like that, they have to learn to cope with the expectation.’
