Hungarian goalkeeper Marton Fulop is again being linked with a move to Wigan Athletic from Tottenham Hotspur.

Fulop spent the majority of last season on loan with Coventry City and talks over a permanent move to the Ricoh Arena have begun, but as yet the Sky Blues have not matched Spurs’ asking price.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell is chasing a new goalkeeper and Fulop could be used as part of any deal taking Pascal Chimbonda to White Hart Lane.

‘It is an honour for me that more clubs show interest in signing me,’ Fulop told the Hungarian press.

‘The most important thing for me is regular first-team football.’
