Coventry City’s fourth signing of the summer is French centre-back Kevin Malaga, a 25-year-old who was a free agent after leaving Nice in his homeland.
A three-year deal has been agreed with Malaga, who Sky Blues boss Andy Thorn believes will be a big addition to his squad.
Thorn, describing Malaga as a ‘good footballer’ but with the strength to cope with League One football, told the official website: ‘I know that several other teams were keen to get him.’
Malaga was playing for the Nice reserve side last season and sees the move to England as a chance to make his name. Like Thorn he believes the pace and power of the game on this side of the channel will suit him.
