Bosnian central defender Mohammed Konjic is to retire from football after coming to an agreement with Derby County about the termination of his contract.

The 35-year-old was a hugely popular figure among Coventry City fans during his stay at the club.

He made 155 appearances between January 1999 and the summer of 2004 when he joined Derby.

Injury and illness blighted his time at Pride Park and he made only 16 league appearances for the Rams but endeared himself further to Sky Blues supporters by giving away a penalty in the crucial last game at Highfield Road last season!
