Celtic manager Gordon Strachan, back at Coventry on Tuesday evening for Richard Shaw’s testimonial, is reportedly tracking Calum Davenport with a view to a summer deal.
23-year-old Davenport seemed to have the world at his feet when he left the Sky Blues for Tottenham in August 2004 but has made just senior appearance to date for the Premiership side and has been loaned out three times.
Strachan gave Davenport his senior debut in the 0-0 draw with Bradford back in 2001 after City’s relegation from the Premiership.
