Coventry City travel to Reading on Monday night for a live TV fixture against one of the pre-season favourites for promotion.

A blistering recent run of form, powered by the goals of Kevin Doyle has put Reading firmly in the mix at the top of the table although they were surprisingly beaten at home by Southampton last time they played at the Madejski Stadium.

“Everyone can beat everyone and that`s what`s so exciting about this division,’ goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann told the Reading Evening Post.

“Yeah, going to Old Trafford isn`t bad, but going to Cardiff on a Tuesday night in the freezing cold is also good.

‘There was a great atmosphere and hopefully we`ll have that on Monday.”

Andre Bikey is suspended for the game after being sent-off last week so Royals boss Steve Coppell will hand a recall to the experienced Michael Duberry.

The Sky Blues will take heart from their recent upturn in form and also their performances away to promotion contenders Wolves, Sheffield United and Birmingham so far this season.

Up front they will be looking for a bit of magic from Freddy Eastwood and the striker reckons he is on his way back to top form.

“I feel I am getting back to form since the manager rested me a couple a weeks ago,” Eastwood told the Coventry Telegraph.

“It was a difficult game at Sheffield Wednesday when we sat back a bit and let them attack us and tried to hit them on the break, but it was good to get 80-odd minutes under my belt and I felt a lot sharper on Tuesday than I did on Saturday.

“I am just looking for another goal to get me up and running.’

Eastwood is a best price of 10/1 to score the 1st goal on Monday night.
