Nottingham Forest host Coventry City on Monday afternoon hoping to end 2009 by notching a 16th unbeaten league game in a row.

Billy Davies’ side have hauled themselves into contention for promotion from the Championship with a superb recent run that has seen them combine rock-solid away form with some fine attacking displays at the City Ground.

The Sky Blues themselves however will be in good spirits after an organised and patient display against Doncaster Rovers brought them a third victory on the bounce.

Wes Morgan may return to the heart of the home side’s defence while Richard Wood could replace James McPake for City if two games in three days prove too much for the Scot as he comes back from injury.
