Flowers hails City response

After another few days of off-field turmoil, Coventry City number two Tim Flowers was full of praise for the way his side responded by winning 4-2 at West Brom on Tuesday night.

‘In the dressing-room, Iain (Dowie) thanked the players for their single-mindedness during the last week,’ he said.

‘This was a magnificent response. All we can do is affect what happens on the pitch and this was a great effort.

‘These players have given their heart to the club since Iain came here.’
