Ex-Nuneaton Boss Plots City Downfall

|

Having turned around the fortunes of Nuneaton Town in a short spell in charge at Liberty Way earlier this season, Dino Maamria will bring his Stevenage side to the Ricoh Arena on Friday evening aiming to put a huge dent in Coventry City’s play-off ambitions.

A former Stevenage player and assistant manager, Maamria was approached to succeed Darren Sarll last month.

A 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Cambridge United last Saturday brought to an end a promising run of form and left Stevenage 15th in League Two with three matches left to play.

Lincoln City’s draw on Tuesday evening pushed City down to seventh place on goal difference with the two clubs now set for a big match at the Ricoh next week in what is a game in hand for them both over Mansfield who lie just outside the play-off places.
