Coventry’s appeal against Michael Doyle’s sending off has failed.

Doyle was sent off in the 5-0 mauling at the Ricoh Arena against West Brom last Saturday, but it was hoped that the appeal would be successful but the suspension has been upheld so the Coventry captain will now miss Chris Coleman’s first three matches in charge.

The suspension will begin with Saturday’s home match against Leicester, continuing next week with the trips to Burnley and Scunthorpe.
