Coventry City have been linked with a deal to sign Manchester City’s experienced forward Paul Dickov.

The former Leicester and Blackburn man’s return to Manchester has not worked out and he faces increased competition for a place this season after new boss Sven Goran Eriksson splashed the cash.

Coventry seem unable to afford even a free transfer right now though and are certainly well-off for options up front.
