After a fairly turbulent pre-season in the transfer market, Chris Coleman feels his Coventry City squad is settling down and, with perhaps one or two more additions will be more than capable of a big improvement on last season’s 17th place finish.

‘I’d like to have a bigger squad, not much bigger but just a couple more bodies in an ideal world,’ said the Sky Blues boss.

New signings Sammy Clingan, Martin Cranie and Jack Cork were all impressive against Sheffield United on Tuesday night while Michael McIndoe has shown glimpses of the talent that persuaded City to sign him.

Coleman added: ‘I’m pleased with the players we’ve brought in, they’ve done well, settled well, but maybe one or two more faces would be ideal for us.’
