Coventry City travel to Crewe on Saturday looking to get their third away win of the season in the league and keep alive the chance of a play-off place.
Crewe, who beat the Sky Blues on the final day of last season to stay in the Championship, look doomed to relegation this time around.
Last weekend’s 1-0 defeat by Hull City left them 10 points adrift of safety and manager Dario Gradi said after the game: ‘I think we needed to win the game and even a draw wouldn’t probably have been good enough.
‘This was a game we had to win really, so now we’ve got to go to somewhere like Crystal Palace and win, which is a bit unlikely.
‘It is not impossible, but it’s not likely – that is just being realistic.
‘There’s no good me standing here saying we can do it.
‘I thought we needed to win today, so that is a big blow to us.
‘I think we will now have to go out and win three games on a roll to stand a chance.’
