Championship action returns with a vengeance on Saturday as Coventry City face Leicester City in what, in recent years, has been dubbed as the ‘M69 derby’.

That tag might be a touch overblown but there is no doubting that both teams will see this as a crucial fixture despite the early stage of the season.

For the Sky Blues, too many bright starts have fizzled away over the past few years and the current apathy surrounding the club, reflected in attendance figures, will only be lifted by a sustained series of good results, especially at home.

Two wins from two at the Ricoh fits the bill to date and added spice is surely set to be added to the game with the long-awaited Marlon King signing set to be completed in time for Saturday lunchtime.

For Leicester meanwhile a worst start to a league season for 16 years has been alleviated somewhat by a couple of tasty-looking pair of signings during the international break.

Striker Martyn Waghorn, a scorer for the Foxes at the Ricoh Arena last season while on loan, has signed permanently for big money while Japanese World Cup star Yuki Abe could also make his debut in CV6.
