Coventry City face Derby County at the Ricoh Arena this Saturday in a live televised Championship clash.

The Sky Blues will go into the game in a strangely positive mood for a side close to the foot of the table having snapped up striker Cody McDonald on deadline day and seen the return of injured players such as Gary McSheffrey and James McPake to the ranks.

Andy Thorn has clearly taken SISU at their word and has drawn up a list of loan targets that he would like to bring to the club, saying that he will be monitoring the 25-man squads named by Premier League clubs to see who may be available.

The Rams meanwhile have made a good start to the season as manager Nigel Clough continues to build a squad against the backdrop of tight financial constraints.

Clough is in the final year of his current deal but told the Derby Telegraph: ‘Our only concern is the Coventry game on Saturday.’

After suffering a pair of six-goal defeats at the hands of the Sky Blues a few seasons ago Derby have held the upper hand in this fixture in recent years.
