The transfer focus at Coventry City remains on potential departures after a busy summer of signings.

Michael Mifsud and Kevin Kyle could be on their way, although Chris Coleman does still have a few irons in the fire to strengthen his squad before the big kick-off.

‘The chairman is coming up (to Scotland) on Thursday or Friday and we are hoping to get one or two deals done because it has dragged on a bit,’ Chris Coleman told the Telegraph this week.

Martin Cranie – Portsmouth’s England Under-21 international defender is thought to be a loan target for both Coventry and Charlton, with the Addicks currently leading the chase.

Clinton Morrison – A groin injury has delayed any decision on whether the Republic of Ireland international striker will be offered a City deal after linking up with the squad for pre-season training.

Stephen Wright – Ex-Liverpool and Sunderland man Wright remains in talk over a deal at the Ricoh Arena after being part of the club’s pre-season build-up.
