While all around the Championship clubs are strengthening their squads for the 46-game marathon that lies ahead, Coventry City are yet to make their move in the summer transfer market.

Are the Sky Blues timing their signings to perfection, ready to pounce when the right man becomes available for the right price, or are they flailing around like an Australian batsman at Lords in their pursuit of new faces?

Sammy Clingan remains on the radar after last week’s criticism of his agent’s role in delaying (or scuppering altogether) a move to the Ricoh Arena.

Apart from that however there is nothing else to report, with both Shane Long of Reading and Jermaine Beckford of Leeds set to stick with their current clubs.

Danny Fox’s departure meanwhile continues to be talked about, with City having turned down a number of bids while admitting that every player has his price.
