Jordan Henderson – The young winger could still be allowed to leave Sunderland on loan once Steve Bruce has weighed up his new squad.

Gary Hooper – Scunthorpe’s free-scoring striker has been mentioned in South Yorkshire as a potential target for Sheffield United, possibly in an exchange deal with former Iron star Billy Sharp.

Rickie Lambert – Bristol Rovers remain determined to keep hold of their star striker despite interest from Peterborough United, Millwall and the Sky Blues.

Glen Little – The experienced winger looks unlikely to stay at Portsmouth next season.

Gary McSheffrey – Offered to the Sky Blues by Birmingham recently as part of a deal for Scott Dann, the former City star is thought to be the subject of a £1.5m bid from Nottingham Forest.

Joe Murphy – The Irish keeper has been offered a new deal to stay with promoted Scunthorpe United.
