The loan window opens next week for Football League clubs and players from the top-flight are sure to be sought after in the Championship as the season begins to take shape.

Coventry City will be in the market for a new face or two and Vital Coventry looks here at potential Premier League signings.

A new goalkeeper is unlikely to be on Chris Coleman’s priority list with Keiren Westwood having made a positive start to his Sky Blues career and both Andy Marshall and youngster Danny Ireland in reserve.

However if a new custodian was needed, there are a few in the top-flight who would fit the bill.

Everton are set to loan out both Iain Turner and John Ruddy after the signing of Carlo Nash on transfer deadline day.

The duo have gained plenty of experience in the lower divisions over the past couple of seasons and know that their path to the first-team at Goodison Park is currently blocked.

‘Ideally we would like to get them out on loan,’ said David Moyes.

Blackburn’s signing of Mark Bunn from Northampton could mean Wales international Jason Brown is surplus to requirements while Fulham also look well-stocked for goalkeepers despite the retirement of Antti Niemi.

Highly-rated David Stockdale was signed from Darlington in the summer and has the experienced Mark Schwarzer and Pascal Zuberbuhler ahead of him.
