As had been expected Chris Coleman has been officially named the new Coventry manager.

Iain Dowie was sacked last week, with Frankie Bunn had taking temporary charge of the FA Cup thrashing, but Coleman has now been confirmed as the new manager.

Former Fulham manager Coleman, fresh from a spell in Spain with Real Sociedad will be presented to the media this afternoon and he will now be charged with ensuring that the alarming slide towards the relegation zone is halted before rebuilding in the summer.

His first match in charge will be against fellow strugglers Leicester at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
