Coventry City striker Donovan Simmonds is on trial at Gillingham ahead of a possible loan move to the League One club.
Glls boss Mark Stimson told kentnews: ‘He has not had much of a chance at Coventry.
‘He has come in today to train and will be in again next week. We are going to monitor him and maybe take him on loan.’
19-year-old Simmonds was picked up by Iain Dowie and Tim Flowers from last summer’s exit trials after being released by Charlton.
He has yet to make a senior appearance but has impressed reserve-team watchers.
