Former Manchester City centre-half Mikkel Bischoff has become Coventry City’s third signing of the summer, joining on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at Eastlands.

Boss Micky Adams told the club’s official website: ‘Mikkel is a competitive defender with great pace and he fits the profile of the kind of player we are looking for.

‘He went to Manchester City for a fee of £750,000 having achieved a big reputation in Denmark and I feel that his potential has yet to be fulfilled.

‘We’re hoping that will happen here at Coventry.

‘There were lots of other clubs interested in Mikkel both in the UK and abroad.’
