Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United and Coventry City are the clubs currently interested in signing Peterborough forward Aaron McLean according to Posh director of football Barry Fry.

The Sky Blues made an enquiry about McLean after last week’s game between the two sides as they prepare for the January loss of Leon Best.

Even though a transfer request has come in from the former non-league hotshot however, Peterborough are determined not to sell on the cheap.

‘We need a deal which starts at £3 million and with add ons can total around £4 million,’ said Fry, quoted in the News of the World.

‘If we don’t get that Aaron will be told he’s staying until his contract end in two and a half years time.’
