City pass the buck on Dowie deal?

Coventry City managing director Paul Fletcher seems to have taken charge of most things at the Ricoh Arena but has denied any knowledge of whether Iain Dowie has actually put pen to paper on his three-and-a-half year contract.

As talk of renewed interest from Leicester City surfaces, Fletcher told the Coventry Telegraph: ‘That’s a matter for the chairman.

Geoffrey Robinson was duly asked by the ‘paper and would only say: ‘I have no comment to make other than to say that Iain Dowie has a fully agreed deal and is our manager.’
