Livingston and Scotland defender David McNamee is being linked with a move to Coventry City by reports north of the border on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old has seen his current club relegated from the SPL this season and is thought to have a clause in his contract allowing him to talk to clubs who offer a certain amount for him.

Aberdeen have already been credited with an interest and Livingston manager John Robertson has been quoted as saying: ‘David has been linked with a few clubs.

‘Aberdeen and Hibs are both interested and Coventry had their manager here at the weekend.

‘He’s an international so he is bound to attract attention.

‘We’ll wait and see, but if they want him they’ll have to come in and buy him. If not, he will be with us next season.’
