The Sky Blues, making 10 changes from Saturday’s starting eleven were deservedly beaten tonight by Morecambe in the first game in their new 12 million pound stadium.
Conceding goals on 46 and 61 minutes the Sky Blues never looked like getting back into the cup-tie and were made to look second best by a positive ‘Shrimpers’ team.
None of the Sky Blues on display will have forced their way into Saturday’s team for the visit to Watford.
